Job Summary

Manage and supervise repair and maintenance to ensure safe operations for Core & Main properties, which may include stores, offices, and/or warehouses.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, repairs, and remodeling or construction projects.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of staff and evaluate performance.
• Investigate complaints and safety violations, and resolve problems following management rules and regulations.
• Maintain records of special permits issued, and maintenance and operating costs
• Purchase maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Inspect facilities to document damage and determine repair needs.
• Prepare reports of property or facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Solutions require analysis and investigation.
• Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience.
• Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

• Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8 - 20 pounds).
• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
• Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Education and Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

   

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and government regulations
• Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, and training.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services.
