1. What are the qualifications to apply for the program?

We are looking for college students who are graduating in Winter 2024 or Spring 2025, or have graduated within the past few years.

2. What is the interview and selection process for the program?

The selection process involves several stages, including submitting an online application, a phone screen with a recruiter, an interview and in-person tour with the hiring manager, and a final interview with the training manager. We aim to identify candidates who demonstrate the right skills, motivation, and alignment with our program's goals.

3. What opportunities are available at the end of the program?

The goal of the program is to develop your skills in the industry, provide exposure to different roles across the business, preparing you for an opportunity at Core & Main in operations, sales, or leadership. Our graduates are commonly placed into Inside/Outside Sales roles, Estimator, and Branch Operations Manager roles, to name a few.

4. Will there be any formal training or mentorship provided during the program?

Yes, our trainee program includes both formal training sessions and one-on-one mentorship opportunities. You will receive comprehensive training in relevant skills and industry practices from your branch manager and the training manager, as well as guidance from experienced associates to support your growth and development throughout the program.

5. Will I have the opportunity to interact with others in the program?

Absolutely. We encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing. You'll have the chance to interact with fellow associates in the program, through workshops, group projects, and networking events. This collaborative environment fosters learning, idea exchange, and the building of valuable professional relationships that can extend beyond the duration of the program.
